Pitch raise included
If your piano has dropped flat and needs stretching back up before a fine tuning will hold, that is part of the appointment, not an extra line on the bill.
Small repairs included
Sticking keys and squeaky pedals get sorted while I am there. They are the sort of thing that should not need its own invoice.
No call-out fee
Travel is included anywhere in the service area when you book a tuning. A $60 cleaning on its own carries a small travel fee — that is the only exception.

About two weeks. The move itself does less than people expect — what shifts the tuning is the new room, with its own humidity and temperature. Letting the piano settle first means the tuning holds.
Our piano is new. Does it still need tuning?
Yes, and more often at first. New strings stretch as they settle, so a new piano usually wants tuning two or three times in its first couple of years before it moves to a normal yearly schedule.
How often should my piano be tuned?
Yearly works great for most homes. Every six months is better when a piano gets more than an hour of playing time daily.
Why does my piano go out of tune?
Each string carries about 160 pounds of tension, and there are over 200 strings. That pressure gradually slips the tuning pins. Temperature swings also expand and contract the wood, adding pressure and shifting pitch.
What's a pitch raise?
When a piano has dropped very flat, its strings need to be stretched back up close to standard pitch before a fine tuning can hold. That’s a pitch raise.
How long does an appointment take?
Just over an hour for a regularly tuned piano. If it’s been more than 2–3 years, it may need a pitch raise, which adds 30–45 minutes.
